Newer Possibilities for Proximal Box Elevation – Tooth Substrate and Comparison with Conventional Materials: An Ex-vivo Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background: Adhesive bonding in deep sub-gingival areas is a challenge due moist environment leading to poor marginal seal and microleakage class II cavities. The margin elevation technique advocated such areas.
Aim: aim of this study evaluate enamel, natural substrate as an alternative material for elevation, compare it with the resin-modified glass ionomer composite by evaluating at tooth-restoration interface Class cavities.
Materials Methods: For 21 patients having least one tooth indicated extraction 7 two teeth were included.Class cavities prepared on 28 proximal margins 1mm below CEJ divided into 4 groups(n=7) Group 1: flowable was used elevation(DME) up till 2mm above CEJ, 2: RMGIC DMEup 2 mm 3: enamel slab luted (for DME)up CEJ,enamel obtained from other seven same patient also extraction, 4(control): no intermediate elevation. Then remaining part restored using FILTEK P60. extracted after week. evaluated dye penetration method.
Results: showed significantly less compared control group. However there insignificant difference between Enamel group exhibited highest all groups.
 Conclusion: exhibit when materials deep-margin

Case Report: The use of an aluminum shell for isolation and marginal elevation in a tooth with no proximal structure
Abstract Deep margin elevation is a technique to solve the problem of localized sub-gingival margins of a tooth. It facilitates isolation and allows the use of adhesive materials. Otherwise, the tooth may not be restorable and the outcome of marginal integrity may remain questionable. Different methods have been suggested previously but they have disadvantages. This article describes the use...
متن کاملColorimetric Comparison of Tooth Color Change Following the Use of Two Endodontic Sealers: An Ex-Vivo Study
Background and Aim: Tooth discoloration induced by endodontic sealers is an un-desired outcome of endodontic treatment that affects the esthetic appearance of the teeth, which is important especially in the anterior region. The aim of the present study was to compare the coronal discoloration caused by two frequently used resin-based sealers namely EasySeal and AdSeal. Materials and Methods: F...
متن کاملRadiographic diagnosis of incipient proximal caries: an ex-vivo study.
The aim of this ex vivo study was to compare visual clinical and radiographic examinations to the histological analysis for proximal caries diagnosis in extracted permanent molars and premolars. The relationship between clinical aspects and carious lesions was also evaluated. Eighty-eight proximal surfaces (44 freshly extracted teeth) were longitudinally sectioned with a 370-microm diamond disk...

BACKGROUND Various techniques are available for elevating the sinus membrane. The aim of this study is to evaluate three methods of indirect sinus floor elevation regarding elevation heights of 7 mm on the outcomes of membrane perforation, length of perforation, and time required to perform the procedure. METHODS Three different methods for indirect sinus lifting, bone added osteotome sinus f...
